Heat rises
Statistics say that 85% of the time, teams that win game three in the NBA Finals go on to win the championship. Media all around is calling this game pivotal because of its historic importance. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook wanted to improve upon their efforts from game two. Lebron James and Dwayne Wade set the tone early for the heat as they relentlessly attacked the basket. This was causing foul trouble issues with Durant as he had to sit most of the third quarter along with Westbrook. That allowed Miami to get a little cushion with the lack of scoring from the Thunder. In the fourth, the Thunder put on a run that gave them a two point lead until Wade was able to get a three point play. Miami never looked back as they caused nine turnovers by the Thunder. The Heat rose to the occasion as they won 91-86 and go ahead in the series 2-1. Game four occurs Thursday night at 7p.m.
